At Duco, we care about our employees. Because we believe in giving every employee a genuine voice in what we do and how it’s done. We communicate openly, whether the news is good or bad, and we empower people to succeed. We believe everyone should be able to feel proud of what they do.

An exciting new role with great scope

We are currently going through a high growth phase at Duco and as such we are looking to expand our Software Engineering and QA teams in Wroclaw.

With a real passion for quality and improvement, you will influence your peers to improve software design, testability and engineering practices, as well as advancing bug prevention strategies and testability to build quality into the heart of everything we do.

QA Engineers at Duco work alongside our engineering teams to build products which work; meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers.

Using your skills you will help develop creative test techniques, using automation where appropriate, to ensure that we tease out the edge cases in our complex product and continuously push our service to new levels of customer satisfaction.

Your role:

  • A champion of quality, ensuring that delivered features do the right thing
  • Working with  Engineering Managers, Product Managers and Customer Representatives to understand how the product will be used and how it should be tested
  • Building out our automation tests
  • Supporting and advising others in writing tests
  • Providing guidance on what type and style of testing should be use, by analysing requirements and use cases
  • Defining and collecting metrics to help us understand what’s going well and where we need to make changes

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes and an openness to trying new techniques
  • A technical background. Not necessarily to the developer level, but this role will be in the trenches with the engineering team so being comfortable with technical concepts and software development is important
  • A desire to push quality assurance efforts to happen in a way that enables us to discover defects as soon as possible
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases
  • Knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • The will to be constantly looking to see how we can improve the quality assurance process

  • A base salary, reviewed annually
  • A success-sharing bonus scheme, so we can recognise the efforts you put in
  • Unlimited annual holiday, because we trust people to manage their own time off
  • Flexible working options: you can choose to work from home, at the office, or both – whatever is best for you.
  • We’re also pretty relaxed about working hours, as long as you’re delivering what’s needed
  • Annual allowance to help you make the best of your home working environment
  • Enhanced family leave provisions
  • Personal learning and development opportunities (we dedicate a budget for this)
  • Spot rewards, so we can say thanks when you do a really great bit of work
  • Referral bonus if we hire someone great who you’ve recommended to us
  • The employee of the Month and Employee of the Year awards
  • Private medical care packages: individual, partner, or family
  • Multisport card
  • Life insurance package
