For our key client – a Danish-founded global company with ambitious growth plans – we are looking for a Database Consultant to strengthen the Digital Area – Platforms department with responsibility for developing and maintaining services/infrastructure.

Your role:

• Working in the closest cooperation with Technical Lead in databases area – synergy effect expected
• Managing mission critical databases environments (SQL & noSQL) in highly production environment
• Administering large-scale database architectures
• Be part of databases area roadmaps and architecture principles creation
• Refining and automating regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
• Daily databases maintenance and ensure backup compliancy,
• Independently analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
• Business Continuity Management in databases area

Requirements:

• 5+ years of MSSQL databases infrastructure design, development and implementation
• Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud experience (at least one), integrations to cloud based systems, migrations on-prem – cloud
• Working with Windows Server (AD, DNS, IIS etc.), Virtualization
• Willingness to cooperate in international organization on multiple projects/tasks
• Open minded and positive can-do attitude
• Internal drive for technical excellence
• Nice to have:
  MongoDB and Mongo Atlas experience
• Automating in PowerShell
• Containers experience e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with RedGate SQL tools is a plus (or other commercial tools, e.g. SQL Sentry etc.)
• Avamar, Veeam Backup, Azure Backup experience
• Big Data, BI Reporting experience.
