For our key client, we are looking for a Data Engineers.

Main goals:

Enhancing DSS Data Engineering capacity at team Custom Data and AI Solutions 1 for “OGP goes Guided Quoting”

Supports the development of tailored software solutions based on Data Engineering, Data Science and Data Architecture

Your role:

• Development, customization and monitoring of ETL processes using the latest cloud technologies

• Working in interdisciplinary teams using agile methods as well as advising and supporting internal data product teams
• Design, implementation and maintenance of data integration routes and reusable data services as part of a company-wide data architecture structuring as well as filling and controlling the Schaeffler data lake in cooperation with other team and IT functions
• Taking over the data engineering tasks for the design and implementation of data pipelines as part of overarching, use case-specific solution architectures
• Close collaboration on projects with data architects, DevOps engineers and analysts
• Excels in applying the DSS and Schaeffler working methods and contributes to their evolution and renewal
• Understanding the impacts of strategic business KPIs like customer satisfaction on daily business and deal with them
• Take responsibility for services developed personally and by peers as well as providing feedback based upon which the other parties can enhance and ensure quality of their deliverables

Requirements:

• University degree in (business) informatics or alternative training with relevant professional experience in this field

• Sound knowledge of database and data integration technologies
• Deep knowledge of the programming languages Java or Python
• Experience in creating business intelligence solutions is an advantage
• Know-how in the use of cloud computing services (e.g. Microsoft Azure)
• At ease interacting with people within and outside of the organization as well as very good communication skills and sound presentation skills
• Global understanding of the activities he/she is part of and ability to communicate them to others
• Very good knowledge in Software-Engineering and/or Quality Assurance and/or Data Visualisation beneficial
• Cares strongly about quality, efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement
• Experience in agile environments, combined with profound agile mindset and corresponding experience in daily work
• Fluent in English spoken and written, German is also beneficial
• Strong hands-on attitude combined with good analytical skills
• Ability and willingness to coach and to take responsibility for services
