Cloud Data Engineer – Wrocław

For our UK client we are looking for cloud engineers who would work on AWS or GCP technologies. You will join the team responsible for creating and maintaining cloud environment to help others reach data-driven solutions. You will work in multiple projects for small and larger sized companies across the globe.

Your role:

    • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
    • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
    • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
    • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
    • Build analytics tools that utilise the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
    • Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
    • Separate and secure data across geographic boundaries through multiple isolation models
    • Work with our data science team and cloud architects to develop greater functionality in our data systems

Requirements:

    • Cloud Certification in either GCP, AWS or Azure (GCP preferred)
    • 3+ years of experience with Python, Scala/Java (or similar), SQL, and data visualisation/exploration tools
    • Your solution experience will likely cover ETL and ELT, data warehousing, relational databases, NoSQL, streaming technologies, APIs and Microservices, workflow/schedulers
    • You have experience of using popular analytics tooling: dbt, Great Expectations, Airflow, Presto, EMR, Kafka, Kinesis, Flink et al.
    • You have data modelling experience and working knowledge of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
    • Competency in data security and compliance
    • English proficiency essential
